How do I make a paternity test look like I am the father if I am not sure if I am or not?

The mother is an ex girlfriend from about 19 years ago, I am still friends with her mother, but both of us have moved on and married other people.Everyone knew her mothers husband was not her biological father. I have always had a relationship with her(the girl in question), but my family has been friends with her mother for 25 years and she looks at me as an uncle and has always called me uncle. My wife is a nurse and said the home DNA tests are reliable because they are sent to a lab for testing, but my wife is hoping I am not the father because her and the mother do get along. I had a friend tell me it can be cheated by me swabbing my mouth with both swabs so my DNA was on both. I have talked to the girl about doing this so it is not a surprise to her, but she is so confused right now she doesn't what to do. I don't know if it will work and don't want her to get hurt.

No you can’t fake a DNA test. They will swab your mouth and the baby’s mouth and compare to see if you share DNA.
There’s no reason you can’t be a “surrogate” father to this baby just because you aren’t the real father. If you care about the baby and the mother, then step up and be there for them. I think its great you acknowledge that they need someone like you in their lives. Regardless of the test results, you can still be there for the mom and the baby.

I don’t think you can do that but if she is 18 and you have been in her life this long and the other guy hasn’t you are a father to her and that shouldn’t matter about the DNA. It takes alot more than getting someone pregnant to be “A Father”!

There is no way to “make” a DNA test “look” like you are the father if you are in fact not. Plus it would end up hurting her more in the long run if she once again found out that who she thought her father was ended up not being again. She’s already been through a lot and to go through it again would be even more hurtful! No matter who she wants to be her father, she still wants, needs and deserves to know who her biological father is! Just pray you are the father and if your not, express how much you care for her and would like to step in as her father figure no matter who the father really is. Who knows maybe you could even adopted her as your own. Good Luck and I hope she really is yours!

Let me state the obvious.
If you are looking for a way to fake the test, then you must not think she is your daughter. If that is the case then do not have the test. If you think she is your daughter then get the test.
If you don’t have the test then you just tell her that you want her to be your daughter and don’t need a test.
If you have the test but are not sure, then just let her know that you will still love her and be there for her.
That girl has a right to know who her real father is. Her mother should be ashamed of herself.
